Lake Charlevoix is the third largest lake in the State of Michigan with over 50 miles of shoreline. There are two fingers to the Lake. One extends eastward from Lake Michigan fourteen miles to Boyne City and the other stretches southeast to East Jordan and the mouth of the Jordan River with Charlevoix  located at the western end of the Lake. Between Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan, is Round Lake Harbor, considered the best natural harbor on the Great Lakes.
